Public Works

R&Q’s contribution to the growth and development of Chile has been shown throughout more than 45 years in the area of Public Works. The firm has stood out for its participation in projects such as the roads for ‘productive routes’ which drove the country’s exportations in the 80’s to great initiatives such as the suspension bridge over the Chacao Channel which aims to join the island of Chiloé with the Chilean mainland.

The firm maintains long-standing work with public actors, participating in tenders with the Ministry of Public Works, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning (National Roads Department, Coordination of Public Works Concessions, Hydraulic Works Department, SERVIU ), among others.

  • R&Q carries out a fundamental role in the various stages of these projects: research and conceptualisation, gathering information in the field, topography, geometric design, soil mechanics, works inspection and more. Alongside this, R&Q has specific support units for transit, road safety, environment, structures and other client needs.
  • Thanks to its expertise, R&Q has taken part in works from Arica to Punta Arenas. In each and every project, R&Q has the permanent goal to improve the system and looks to maximise efficiency and conscientious use of resources, always taking into account the responsibility that is implied when working in areas that affect the whole country. Currently G&Q is developing Public Works projects in the Chacao Bridge, airports and reservoirs, to name a few.
