PROJECT DESCRIPTION

• Construction, maintenance and operation of a reservoir for the irrigation of the middle and lower areas of the Petorca River Valley.
• The reservoir will have a total volume of 55 million cubic metres covering an area of 252 hectares. It will have two walls, one main CFRD wall (Concrete Face Rockfill Dam) which will be 560 metres long and 70 metres high and a second one which will be 110 metres long and 10 metres high. In addition, the project includes a 57km feeder canal with a capacity of 2 m3/s that will carry water from the Petorca River to the reservoir.
• The project will include these additional works: Diversion, Intake, Scour Outlet, Distribution to Irrigation, Environmental Flow and Overflow Channel and these extra works: Feeder Canal and Inlet, Bypasses to Routes E-377D and E-315, Operation and Access Roads to the works and the Control Stations.

• Consultancy for the Fiscal Inspector in the review of the detailed engineering project prepared by the Concession Company and in the partial inspection of the construction of the works.
