Project for the Extension of the Valparaiso metro line between Limache and La Calera.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project deals with the extension of the Valparaiso metro service which currently operates between the Puerto and Limache stations, connecting the towns of Quillota, San Pedro, La Cruz and La Calera. The extension, which is around 26km, also includes the construction of two exclusive passenger lines and the standardisation of an exclusive freight line between La Calera and San Pedro. This will include 5 stations, 11 vehicle crossings and 15 pedestrian crossings all of which will be grade separated.

Support EFE as a technical and administrative counterpart in managing the Valparaiso metro line extension project from Quillota to La Calera in the development stage of its basic engineering, taking into account all the areas and specialisation that might be necessary.
Support the development of the basic engineering process as a technical counterpart, preparing reports with recommendations in order to anticipate events and propose necessary courses of action for the successful completion of the basic engineering in terms of quality, deadline and required costs.

Set up a specialised technical consultancy and report on the status, compliance and periodic progress of the Basic Engineering Service, registering and informing deviations early on in order to facilitate better decision-making by the State Railway Company.
In addition, this contract provides resources from specialists across various disciplines to collaborate in the review and observation of documents produced in the development of the Basic Engineering Project. This is on a part time basis, as and when requested by the EFE where pertinent and necessary.
